Thread: Please stop showing boring videos

Hi all, i have heard a lot of bad opinions about ARR due to the boring videos that SE is releasing to the public. I know there are a lot of improvements there but that's not the way to show it to the people. Instead showing that kind of videos u can try showing a party of 4 or 8 in a dungeon, something with life, music, faster, showing the combo system, moving, showing cut scenes, new skills, ifrit, moogles, chocobos, places (not running 3 mins in gridania, something faster cuz that's so boring), etc.. there are a lot u can show right now so please show it before the people keep saying ''that's so boring, stand still and hitting 123123123123'' (cuz that's what u showed in the last video).
Better marketing SE please!, that king of videos are not helping.

Edit: I really appreciate what SE is doing showing us alpha gameplay, but this is not the purpose of the thread, what i have seen is that people is already comparing the Alpha version with GW2 and wow, and they dont like what they're seeing. I know this is alpha and everything, the problem is that not everyone knows about it and they are already judging improperly.
So I think it's better to SE to wait a little longer and release a better video to make the people want to play the game.

About feedback? that's why we have alpha testers, cuz the only feedback we're getting from that videos is ''boring, GW2 is better, i'm tired of 123123123, etc...''
I know we want to know how is alpha is right now, but this is not the right way cuz we're not getting good feedfack from the people

i didnt find the videos boring because i dont know... i have a brain and its telling me that were still in ALPHA phase... stop jumping the gun and stop generalizing your own personal views as that of the entire community. the videos are very good for an ALPHA .. i cant stress this enough lol ... ALPHA !

Well, hello there Kaizuko, long time no see.
I agree that people should stop bashing at something they do not fully understand. I have read quite a few forums here and there, and i have the impression that there is alot more positive feedback on the videos SE has put out than this thread and others implies. But somehow some people will focus all the negative energy they have. I don't know if it is because they are afraid of being disappointed again or that they generated hate during theire time in Eorzea. I think it's abit of both. Patience is so important around this time. We are closing in on beta stage, I advise all who think they know how it will be like playing this game to stop for awhile and imagine that there is a big possibility that the content we see in videos from alpha may or may not be staying. It could be simplified systems just for the sake of testing. I can understand if some become nervous of certain aspects of the game, but have the decency to hold off all the criticism until beta and give alittle trust to SE and Yoshida in this. They are the one's who make this game, and of course with the help of us, the community.

And i'm sick of people saying "Just because we are in alpha doesn't mean we can't criticise it" Well actually, this is not the best time to bring these kinds of matters up. Wait until you have a ready beta installed on the computer, play it, then post your concerns.
It's too much negative threads and opinions that in my honest opinion are invalid because we are in the unknown zone as of now, what we need is constructive new ideas. Not beating up the videos shown to us.

I think what SE does is amazing, they have been so great to us in every aspect along the way. They accepted theire wrongs and are now taking measures. They keep us informed and appreciates us. They answer alot of threads with comic angles.
I think that if they are able to bring this game back upon it's feet, it is going to be historical. Lifting an MMO up from the mud like they try to do needs a cheering crowd which can be heard from all the corners of the world. Of course we need to tell them what we don't like. But as I said earlier. Right now is not the time. I think we can wait for a few more weeks.
The diamond needs to be clean of its mud, then we polish it. And let's hope that this will become the most precious diamond we ever saw. (Damn i sound like such a fanboy, hey.. maybe I am one.)

ive read the post just fine you might want to consider how your coming off with your post, just complains on complains, you're boring me to be frank

the thing about these videos is their released in the forums to keep the current players who havent gotten into the testing up on the changes... do you understand? they are not trailers.. you think you can market the game better? theres plenty of time until launch, so thats what i mean when i say dont jump the gun.

why im even wasting my time with you is beyond me so i wont be even checking this thread in the future.. just pointless
