It's a MMO and that means Multiplayer, don't expect to be able to solo stuff like that. It's good that there was abit of challenge in the game and I really hope there will be challenge in the story in ARR too.

Maybe you should go play FFXI you can solo Storys there now

A new graphics engine was needed for XIV as a MMO to succeed. Due to the old engine should've been left to offline FF games. Tanaka made a huge mistake in the graphic engine he had chosen which cost him his job at SE ,but also fault fell on CEO Wada too. Therefore, shortly afterwards they made Yoshi Director of XIV because they knew he would communicate with it Final fantasy fans on a ground level & keep them playing a MMO that was broken. A ton of us stay & listened, gave hope that XIV will became something better than it was at launch. We dedicated ourselves on staying then we became Long-term players on Yoshi's (active players) on XIV even in paying for a broken.

The problem lies in tester acceptance of region & response from the teams being paid to be responders on the forums on concerns players are having about this testing process. Yoshi, everyday in the past read & wrote in responding or a development team member to concerns or questions of the player. Now that there are TWO not ONE but TWO forum systems running it seems all the responding is on a testing forum than an official forums response.
