Which, let's face it, tester focused or not everyone has in mind anyway and is undeniably a driving force.

The only difference is, as you pointed out, is to help the company and do what is outlined in the phases and submit feedback. Aside from that, I guess the main question is, as someone who wants to be let into an early preview and doesn't have the drive to test, what then drives them to want it? Cause I've gotta say, an unfinished game, with blacked out lore, and no progression saved doesn't sound incredibly fun to me nor does it sound like something to be upset over not being apart of.

That's all I'm saying.
Well, I can't speak for everyone, but I've spent 2 years playing and observing this games development and we're at a crucial stage. Being that I'm not on the front line helping square as directly as I could, tears me up. The fact that the game's unfinished or not very fun means I get to have input on helping to guide it to be finished and fun.

I don't know why someone would want to play it for a preview beyond getting a quick feel for the direction of the completed game. Maybe a peek at the new world design, the new lore, you know, the deeply developed things that probably won't be changed. But I can't say I see anyone who's clamoring for that kind of introduction to ARR around here at least.
