i didn't play tera long enough but i think they have something like this, where people are in control of prices and shops and can be a dick or not. people can have him removed and stuff like that. political system i think it was called. i didn't get that far into the game i quit b4 making max level. didn't see myself enjoying that game long term and soon as i see this i can't find myself trying to play any more.

it can be fun idea though, they did also mention that we will have big summons? ones we can't use often and that they will be controlled by only one linkshell at one time. witch is kinda like this concept. though having ones more personal to an individual would be better. like warhammer they had banners but only a few could be picked to use them. and it doesn't make them as cool as knowing you can personally achieve it rather then being picked by others.

being able to control stuff in the world would be cool though, also on the battle side warhammer has 4players in the city raid at one part get chosen to become larger versions of themselves and everyone on other faction is trying to kill them first while they kill and protect us. if they can find a way to fit something like this in ffxi would be cool. call him a hero of sorts and he can be double the strength in content or pvp or something ...what have you. however it fits ffxiv.
