As of December 13, 2012 (Thursday) 7:00 a.m. (GMT), we will no longer be accepting applications for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn alpha testers. The final alpha tester selection will be conducted on December 17, and notification emails will be sent shortly thereafter.

Well when when Beta finally rolls around, I hope SE has the good sense of giving priority to legacy applicants over others. I'm a little sad I've yet to find an alpha invite sitting in my inbox, but I'll be very upset if a beta invite never comes my way. Like many others I've bought the collectors edition, and paid from start of billing to shutdown of 1.0. I want a little kickback tossed my way.

They said there will be at least 2 months between the end of the alpha and the start of the beta, as they branched 3 months ago they will have to apply the bug fixes and all that into the beta client before releasing the beta, plus all the other work to bring the game to a state of near completion.

I wouldn't expect beta to come until the end of feb or first week of march.
