I'm also pretty sure that some quests will be repeatable like in FFXI such as some gathering quests (like in San d'Oria where you could turn in rabbit pelts, if I remember correctly) or battle quests besides Leves.

You will be able to level from a lot of things and i bet grinding mobs will still be good someone will find a way.

You are forgetting guild leves, mob grinding and dungeon exp are still in the game and still give you exp.

they should turn leves into full blown fields of valor.

True, Quest-based leveling is the main leveling, but they are including alternative leveling such as the F.A.T.E, Dungeon runs.
(escort and hamlet falls under F.A.T.E)
There are some critical aspects of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn different from other games. First of all you can have different classes, this makes surely difficult (maybe impossible) have enough quests for all of them (Disciples of War, Disciples of Magic, Disciples of Hand, Diciples of Land, plus future classes). What I can say for sure is that you will can make experience points as you wish. Maybe with some limitations, but you are free to choose the best way of getting experience as you like, and I'm glad of it.Do you guys think that there will be enough quests to go around?
I mean, leveling all of you DoW/M in quest lines, taking you from area to area like in certain other popular MMORPGS?
There's still leves I know, but I don't think you start with your allowance at 99, and if you have already leveled 1 job in Gridania, Ul'dah and Limsa are you then forced to do leves?
Sorry if this has been brought up before - couldn't find it anywhere.
Just worried, that's all.

DOOOOOM GLOOOOM!!! Oh noes!
Player one: We needs moar questz!
Player two: Questz r DUMB and 4 n00bs, only HardcOr grinz for mie!
Player three: Umm, can't we have both? If I want quests i'll do them, if I want to grind in a party i can do that too? Or is something stopping me?
Player one and two: STFU! U R stifling my right of free speech! You cant do both, its IMPOSIBRU!
EDIT: Sorry, i didnt think this was a serious conversation so i thought i would have a little fun![]()

I just hope they don't make solo questing that much better to the point where exp parties are made pointless. I know this happens in some other games out there which focus on questing and where you only see parties at an "end-game" that is not so much the "end" as it is the beginning of the actual game...

Idk about you but for the 5/7 i got to 50 before last save i lvled them 90% solo with leves cuz none is up for exp parties..I just hope they don't make solo questing that much better to the point where exp parties are made pointless. Wow, really? 45 levels out of 50 was soloing leves for you? :\ That must have been incredibly tedious.. You should really try playing with other players more, its much less lonely and you can mix it up a bit.
For the classes I got to 50 I would party up with 1 or 2 of my friends to fight mobs or do leves together for approximately levels 1-25. Then for levels 25+ I would start doing exp parties in various areas, which was certainly a lot faster than grinding the same leves over and over and it allowed for changes in scenery.
