    this is from my test over the years yours may differ. im rating all on 1080p

    all of them will get you big files you will get you about 1h 30min on a 500gb drive 1080p

    other recorders like playclaw & dxtory let you compress video. side effects will be the video will be dark and hard to un-compress. if you run compress video threw something like abode primere, sony vegas will will render with skipping alot of frames. run it threw abobe after effect first will will fix it but takes forever.


    dxtory needs/favors fast HDD raid 0 would work or faster then 62MB a sec HDD to run without skipping(1080p), lots of options with codec selection.

    fraps likes a decently fast CPU/GPU system, then no problems at all, basic options

    playclaw easiest on your system but have dark pixelated compressed videos, lots of options

    For me FRAPS wins hands down but thats just what i like there all good just try all 3.
