Yeah, this would be an awesome addition to the game. I mean if they're REALLY that worried about balance issues and all they could just make it an accessory slot and balance the equipment accordingly. I mean they're already taking out slot cost eventually so why not? Otherwise it would work just as well as a normal gear slot.
Simple answer: Have a check box on Head and Face slots, and one always needs to be ticked. Ticked slot is active, unticked is vanity.
whatever happened to a back slot too ;___;

Last we heard about that (capes, specifically) was back in June, and as of then, they had no plans to implement it due to technical limitations.

That makes me think of Orthodontic Headgear.
Add Sunglasses, Gold Teeth and Piercings and call it Bling.

need a cloak/coat slot, and fashion section
I'm reviving this thread to ask the question: I'm noticing that the concept art for Warrior, Dragoon, and White Mage appear to have 2 options for the head gear (Visor/Hood UP and DOWN)... Are you guys really implementing the ability for us to pull them up and down?!
PLEASE say it is so SE. Respond devs!!
I'm surprised this thread hasn't been updated, considering that this request was specifically acknowledged in the second live letter. Apparently it's technically difficult to implement, but may be something they could look into in the future?
Putting hoods up and down was also addressed, and it won't be implemented since it would be too technically difficult. The up/down hood views were purely to show detail from a concept art standpoint.
