Public Test Realm Needed

A Public Test Realm is a realm that has the next unreleased patch or update data installed. This is open to anyone and is totally free for all users with active accounts. All you have to do is download the updated client. SquareEnix could use this realm to test their unreleased updates, so they can make any amendments or improvements to the updates before it is released.

I hate to say it, but that is every current server. They are pushing content out asap as it is. I don't think those on a test server would get anything any sooner.

Heya!

I knew about this from my WoW friends. They were like "Lol PTR!". I didn't know what the hell was that, so, when I discovered that it is what you said, I wanted to log into it and give it a try.
Aion did the same, and when I was playing it, I did a trip into the 1.8 patch (or whatever, I don't remember), and it felt really great!

Well, the only thing I didn't like is that it spoils the fun of having something you have never seen, because you've already seen it, so it's not gonna excite you, but I think we can overcome that.

hmm... I think he/she meant in the future, when there'll be Big content patches. Not in the near future, but in the long one.

Yeah, once the development settles down I could see them eventually doing it. I am not against the idea of it, it just doesn't make sense to do it now.

I'm generally against public test realms. There really is no need to give armchair developers more tools to be idiots. There's a reason that LoL shut it down to the public and only allowed founding testers access.

So I guess I would be ok with it if access was granted by invitation only.

Yeah i'm kinda feeling like every server is a public test server.

people just whined & flamed each other in the beta's other than saying what was busted, i dont see how a ptr would be any different
