Ive already got a first generation PS3 and will be getting 14 for it and looking forward to that. I use my PS3 for a lot of stuff: Netflix, lovefilm, blurays, dvds, other games, internet, bbc iplayer. So playing an mmo on my PS3 means I cant really do these other things on it while im afk or waiting for a party invite and stuff in 14, unless I log out obviously.

Sony just bought out a new super slim PS3 with a 12GB SSD and from my experience with SSD they are fantastic and really gave my pc a boost to performance especialy with FF14 when i upgraded to one, it fixed this weird hitching and jerking i had and improved loading times massivley.

So anyway I love Solid state drives, in my opinion its the best pc upgrade after your graphics card that you can make to boost gaming performance.

I would definatly get the new 12 GB SSD PS3 solely for FF14, I just dont think 12 gigs is going to be enough though, but the SSD will boost performance and loading times and it would be a shame if cant use this. Why would sony make a console that one of its future PS3 games wont run on?

I would like to hear from a dev how much space will be required for PS3 version to install and run.
