A New PC just for XIV! ^_^ I Hope?

Hey Everyone! How's it goin'? I was just curious about my PC and it playing XIV with some frustration. It's a Toshiba Qosmio X505-0894. It's got a 1.5gb Vid. Card, with up to 4gb of mem. (stock, I have not updated it.) and a processor speed of 1.7gb on all 8cores, with turbo-boost up to 2.97 when it needs it. My question is this: Will it play XIV on standard or max settings with any problems? what, if any, of the special options needs to be turned off, or down. depending on what they are? ambient occlusion, or depth-of-field? any help on the matter would be great. thanks again. PS.. would updating the memory to its cap of 8gb help at all? and will/can this play on my 1080hdtv? if so.. what settings?

I'm assuming that based on the memory size of your vid card that it's somewhere in the "enthusiast" level of graphics cards, but can you find out what model card it is?

I'm assuming that you have an i7 CPU from the sound of it, so that should be fine, and the RAM is good at 4 gigs. Any optimization problems would most likely be on FFXIV's side. Right now ambient occlusion kills systems apparently, but you should be able to run the game just fine with whatever you're running now.

above standard settings for sure, but not max.
leave depth of field & ambient occlusion out and you'll be able to play on your native screen solution which is 1680*something, 2x AA, standard shadows, high textures, and standard/high drawing quality.
your ram should be fine, i don't see a reason to go above 4gb.
you'll be able to play on your hdtv, but you shudn't go any higher on the settings.
