As far as first posts go, this is a really nice one. Welcome to the forums!Hello Everyone!
This is my first post on this forum so I thought I would share some of my opinions on Square Enix and Final Fantasy XIV. I have been playing FFXI for about 7 years and have been a huge fan of Final Fantasy in general for a big part of my life with FFXI being one of the best parts of my childhood. I never had a big enough problem with Square Enix to rage over or quit playing Final Fantasy but I had to learn major patience to deal with them, especially when I was a kid not understanding that with most worthwhile projects they take time to achieve there full vision and potential. I personally would of kept playing the older version of FFXIV with that same patience hoping the DEV team would not abandon the project so I sit here waiting for the release of 2.0 hoping that I will once again get some enjoyment out of it. I have always been a fan of the RPG style, Lore and storyline Final Fantasy has brought over the years and if they at least keep that, personally I think 2.0 and beyond will be very enjoyable. I can't wait to judge the new FFXIV for myself because when it comes down to it that's all that matters.
PS: I know Square Enix as a Company has little to do with the real bulk of what goes into FFXIV. That is all thanks to the DEV team that work to make the game better while jumping through corporate hoops.
Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of another, always at the same time as an end and never simply as a means
