ARR Housing Discussion Thread

What is everyone's desires on building a house in ARR? In time, I'd like to build one only for my character. I plan on designing it based on the layout of the beach house I go to on vacation, and it's one of the smaller houses. So, my ARR house will be small to suit my needs. The area I will have it in, though, will be in the forest setting like Gridania's. I'll possibly have a small or a medium sized yard. The insides of the house will possibly have the same layout as the beach house I stay in.



What are your ideas?

I'm probably going to choose an area in Gridania as well. As for the lay out, I have no freakin' clue. I'll have to see what's available. but I want lots of decorations and event furniture like my house in FFXI

i just want to be able to make my own furniture alla carpenter again ...other then that i can care less. housing is one of those extra that i don't care about. i'm not gonna sit in there and play house or decorate fungshway or whatever. fact i hated the housing in ffxi cause you had to go there to change classes and worse gear up cause not enough space in your inventory for multiple classes worth of gear><. so the housing system just became this uggg i'm going to my house thing. witch the gear thing will probably happen again since they are droping our inventory space by half. but i still think i can get multiclass gears in there for classes with ease.

the extra buffs and stuff like that though is a nice addition, they should add tons of that. personally i would like this for my personal housing not the linkshell company/group one. i'm sorry every guild game that has this the guild disbands or whatever happens and you lose all of it and it's not coming with you. i want it to feel personal to me. yes in ffxi i had linkshells that lasted 3+ years but never seen a mmo with a housing with extra's attached where any guild lasted more then few months to half a year ..most those games don't even last that long.

tldr only thing i can think of making housing something entertaining or considered content is if a real life mithra pops up in my pc room when i enter my housing and gives me a quick handy b4 i exit out to do some more content.

I'm gonna build a castle, invite all my friends to play Tetra and serve tarutaru/lalafell soup everyday around a big round table where no small hobbits can reach up. (Except for when they are dead lying in delicous bowls full of other stuff as well.)

You should stop by and grab a bowl, if you know any small hobbits, you can always bring them too. Muhahahaha!

I just want to have a small house like the layout in the picture I posted. Something simple I'm sure a design like that won't cost an arm and a leg. Either that or I'll just do my house on Animal Crossing: New Leaf when it releases here in the US on the 3DS.
