I agree, I can appreciate the more orchestrated direction FFXIV music has taken.
In fact Nobuo Uematsu has started doing a more electronic rock sounds to his music hear lately. Now I realize that he's not doing the latest set of music for ARR. but the music does appear to be lacking in the Bass department.

But Uematsu's music isn't Final Fantasy enough for this playerbase, so we can't go around having a typical Final Fantasy bassline... in a Final Fantasy game. It doesn't make sense! That's why they're redoing the music in the first place.
