I know that they're low level spells and they aren't supposed to be showy but even if you look at other games like FFXI for example.. even they're low level spells at least were kind of catchy to watch.

So, FFXI having rocks just fly out from underneath the mob is more "catchy to watch" than rocks appearing around you, and jetting toward the enemy?

Seriously, this community needs to take off the nostalgia goggles.
