    In 2.0 the abilities occur with far more frequency. I've said this about a 10 times and it clearly has an effect on the visual representation of battle. Simple math. Watch, if they cut down the global cooldown from 3 seconds to 1.5 or so like some people are asking for the cluster****ery will be about twice as bad. Do you really not think this warrants some attention, or should abilities keep that amount of flash despite occurring far more often?

    What? LoL there was lots of hate towards the "blandness" of the 1.0 effects. At one point, they actually doubled the size of effects because people complained they were so small. As it is, the only effect in that video i saw which was close to being "full screen" was the Aqueous Discharge from the slugs which did take up half the screen. The lancer nor conjurer abilities came close to that statement.

    Only the people who try to negate and ignore criticism.
    Perhaps removing the blatant hyperbole from your criticisms would help others take them more seriously?

    Actually, I did simply disagree with you and gave you some history about why the things are the way they are. My comment about topics and boredom was not directed at you until you tried to be cool and label me as SE Defense force. =/

    So they already doubled it. Problem solved, why are they doing it again.

    And actually I agree about the mage effects. They are relatively insignificant compared to all the other crap going on, and will be lost in the sea of other giant flash effects. And yes the orange circle is from slimes as far as I can tell, but the visual representation of battle still needs some serious polishing and editing.

    I love the flashiness of what is 1.0's skills, though out magic was kinda lacking in that department. The skills casker mention of older FF games, they were all starter skills and abilities so they didn't have the impact of later skills. Freya's Jump was actually flashier then just jump throw lance then end. It was Jump, throw lance, land on lance, flashy impact, end. So actually rather flashy for a starting skill. As for Kain's jump well, it was basically a bread and butter attack, after all you started the game with it... for a short while. But if you are making complaints about PC skills being overly flashy, I'd like to point out that early in most later FFs, monsters had flashy skills like breath attacks and such when you barely have access to magics. IMO flashiness is good so long as it matches what you are accomplishing. FFXI's level up was rather flashy for something rather simple but it was fun and didn't feel out of place.

    Well, regardless of who it's directed at I think just saying someone is bored so criticism doesn't matter comes off as trying to defend SE, that's why I said it. You don't seem that bad though after seeing more of your posts. I admit have a quick trigger finger when I get a sniff of what I feel is SEDF behavior and get worked up easily.

    Maybe I just need to see more footage. I do recall those slimes having relatively obnoxious ability graphics for their movesets in 1.0 as well. In general I do think SE needs to watch it and not overdo it, not everything needs a big flash and when everything does it doesn't help differentiate abilities. Especially stuff like sprint or gathering doesn't need the accompanying flashes.
