hahaha what's up morticous! =) I just wanted to show the reaction of the people who watch these videos, specially non-FF gamers D:
not me, but people who watch their videos careThey're demonstrating core aspects of the gameplay from the alpha version, what are you expecting?
What Square Enix is showing is representative of the content available to players in the alpha version; nothing more, nothing less.
These clowns seem to be wholly uninformed on Final Fantasy in general; who cares what they think?![]()
I'd rather them not showing anything at all versus showing boring videos that only give negative presses and lower players' trusts and interests.Would you rather them show nothing at all? There are people who are not able to experience the Alpha, so this is the closest they can get to it. With seeing these videos, they're able to provide feedback that can hopefully help with the development of the game. The other things you're asking for may still be in development and maybe all that's ready to be shown at this point is the content in the Alpha.
Perhaps it's just the way that I think but I honestly don't see these videos as boring.. not to say that they are exciting to an outsider with no perspective as to what's taken place with this game.
The Alpha videos to me are just a basic outline if you will.. they aren't really that in-depth and I don't think they are meant to be. They're just showcasing the very basics.. Now when we get into the Beta phase I fully expect to see some videos focused heavily on things like combat and the like with a little more flair, like showing off limit breaks and what not..
exactly that.
and as i think "negative" thoughts and opinions can quickly turn into positive ones.
you guys are just way too terrible.
Gamebraker TV website is somewhat popular the general PC MMO community, they do have their viewers for sure. This is also the same audience that SE wishes to attract with ARR. A lot of there concerns about the video are valid. SE could always do better in the marketing department and the videos they are showing off are one of the few ways perspective players can get a look at the game. They're demonstrating core aspects of the gameplay from the alpha version, what are you expecting?

Even someone who spoke English commenting on whats going on or what they are going for in the future would of been better.
There is still plenty of time for that to be done.. maybe Yoshi-P will make a new batch of "The making of FFXIV:ARR" videosGamebraker TV website is somewhat popular the general PC MMO community, they do have their viewers for sure. There is not only bad reaction and press about FFXIV: ARR.
but here is a good article about ARR, someone who actually informed himself about ARR before writing an article (and also mainly positive comments beneath it).
And he is refering to the alpha video clips ! so it couldnt be all that bad about them..

so far to your "stop posting "boring" videos"...Personally, I’m impressed by what we have seen so far. The new UI looks like what I’d expect from a PC based MMO. Character creation balances nicely between customization and functionality. The world (at least the Black Shroud) is more open and vibrant, in many cases creatures seem to blend naturally into their habitats. Further, there is an interesting “living” feeling to the world. It’s a high-fantasy, Final Fantasy, world – yet it seems like a plausible world (not a zone box you play a game in). I detested the Black Shroud in Final Fantasy XIV; I think I might enjoy spending a lot of time there in A Realm Reborn.

lol only thing i really would love to see vids on is crystal towers or the labyrinth, even some of the smaller newer dungeons. but it's ok seeing these vids, though yes they are kinda boring. i mean the craft and gather one we already saw that stuff in the live video one. but they don't want to show much ...then you end up with a movie trailer that if you watched you realized after watching the movie you just saw the entire movie in the trailer lol. they are just trying to keep us lightly entertained while we wait so it's no biggie. they got lucky as crap that no mmo that has come out is even close to being good. by the time they launch i not sure what else is coming but it don't look like much either. very lucky.
