OT: I don't see anything wrong with sprint myself, but I can think of ways to make it more effective.

You know, it would really suck if you click or hit the sprint macro button by accident while in engage in combat, and poof there goes all your TP.. Wouldn't that piss you off? It would piss me off..
Pretty much a good reason to throw it on that odd corner of that 3rd or higher bar that you rarely ever use if at all so it doesn't happen. It's not something you'll be using when your fighting so you won't miss it, and when not fighting there's no reason to not switch your primary bar to the 3rd so as to have easier access.

Problem solved

It can be made more convenient, I'm sure. Just design-wise, it's a general ability that are a set of abilities that you have access to on all classes, in which there is also Teleport and Return and such. If anything, we already know ARR will support add-ons. We'll be able to customize quite a lot when it comes to bindings I imagine.

Trying Chicago-style Stuff, whereby the sauce is placed atop the cheese, is materially different from Trying conventionally-constructed Stuff.

Without Trying Chicago-style Stuff firsthand, I can reasonably anticipate, based on Trying Stuff in other, similar circumstances, that the experience of Trying Chicago-style Stuff will be disagreeable.

Makes perfect sense.
Well done~
