Questions for other people that recorded cutscenes for personal archiving.

1. "Lord Errant" Cutscene 4 - Does your Path Companion not appear in the high quality cutscene where Ifrit is summoned?
2. "Prophecy Inspection" Cutscene 3 - Does Dalamud not appear? (makes it funny in context how Hildriband is launched to empty sky, lol) SOLVED: Disabling "Extended Drawing" in Configuration-> Systems makes Dalamud appear.
3. "In for Garuda Wakening" Cutscene 3 - No Dalamud to be seen in the Howling Eye? SOLVED: Disabling "Extended Drawing" in Configuration-> Systems makes Dalamud appear.

Might need to mess around with the settings, by toggling it on and off to get it to appear.

I'm recording all, cutscenes. So I'm just confirming not to waste my time too much trying to be a perfectionist.

it's an old bug, sometimes dalamud don't appear. Just retry

yeah it's a random bug. Sometimes Dalamud won't appear, just have to keep replaying the cutscene. Same with path companion.

Also to note: most of the cutscenes are affected by the current game time ie: it will play cutscenes at night if you clicked the cs in the book during night game time.

Except for the high-quality ones.

Like Limsa's with the Barracudas in naval warfare against the Sahaghin. It's high-noon, in order to showcase that Travanchet doesn't have a shadow.

And no dice just retrying so far. Gonna adjust the size of the game window so see if it does anything.

Oh well. Halfway done archiving.

On that note of the game time affecting the cutscenes. I've taken care to make sure all of em were recorded during daytime. I hate night time. lol

Yeah I know it doesn't affect the high quality ones.

As for the Dalamud not appearing, just gotta keep trying. It happened to me (Nightmare cutscenes and Hildibrand one). Maybe try shutting down all other background apps and just let XIV and fraps (or other recording program) run.

Another thing, if you could check for me...the last cutscene for To Kill a Raven...try as I might I cannot get that cutscene to NOT lag. I always get an average 15fps and it actually chugs in some areas despite my best efforts. Can you check that one and see if it lags for you?

If you're talking about the part where he turns into Aether particles... my 260GTX cries trying to decode the video (h264) unless I cap the bandwidth. While capturing, the fps are around 20, but then, my max fps while capturing are only around 25 on normal scenes...

It's a very complex scene because of those particles, so yeah it will be lagging on most PCs.

Actually that one plays smooth for me. It's the little gathering in Gridania where you walk down the path with everyone clapping and Merlwyb, Raubhan and Kan-E Senna are waiting to greet you. That one plays horribly no matter what I try. I finally gave up and chalked it up to server load limitations <_<
