Strangely enough.. I might actually buy that set if they put it in the game. lol.

O-hat was the most god-awful hat in the entire game. If it wasn't so damn useful, it would just be a fashion faux pas.

Yeah . . . not so much. If they had pieces inspired by past games, I wouldn't mind. However, I would much rather XIV have it's own look, not just copy paste everything from XI. Besides, most of those outfits just don't fit the aesthetics of Eorzea, not without a deal of reworking.

I think they should draw upon their creativity and create brand new models for gear. People already complain about them recycling mobs from FFXI, imagine the crying you'll see about seeing armor models. The JSE gear is iconic throughout the series and it's acceptable that they use this, but everything else I'd rather see what inspiration the art department can draw up when creating new armor sets.

Why? I like just wearing a shirt and jeans. I do like simplistic looking characters. Putting too much design on something can sometimes be a bad thing like putting zippers on things that don't need it. I love Locke Cole from FFVI for one of the reasons being that his design is so simplistic but tells so much. It's always been a complaint of mine that Korean MMOs always went too far in design. It's personal taste and I do like fantasy wardrobe, but I don't like it too ridiculous.

If you want to rehash a rehash then why not make it better? If you just import old armor over without change then whats the point? FFXI was (and still is) plagued with an unchanged UI since the game popped up years ago. Not to sound like an ass (probity to late for that) but why go back when the team here and make so much better stuff then what FFXI did?
