    "Crossplay"
Cross Play is not remote play
Cross Play is more a multi plattform feature to play with your PSVita against other players using PS3 in multiplayer games.
To stream a game with remote play from your PS3 to your Vita you need a hacked PS3.

The only problem with a portable MMO is that unless you have the 3g vita you really can't bring it outside the house. The only reason I like the idea is because I can watch television while waiting for people to join me for a dungeon.

Pixel for Pixel, the Vita is nearly as powerful as a PS3. Several gaming companies (Konami, for instance) have confirmed this.

And Yoshi-P has stated that the new FFXIV engine is "highly scalable".

From this, can we assume that the Vita could run a 'trimmed down' (less chars on screen, lower texture res, etc)port of the PS3 version?

I'd say the answer is almost certainly a 'Yes'.

However, there's a much more important factor to consider...

Are there enough Vita users who are ALSO FF/MMO fans, (current or potential) to make a Vita port worth the required investment of resources? (The sales of the upcoming FFX HD for Vita might give us a hint)

    My guess is probably not.
    thats my opinion

Makes absolutely no sense to me. Why would I want to play an mmorpg on a portable gaming machine when the PC (and even the PS3) version is obviously so much more preferable? Much more memory, easier to communicate with other players with a keyboard (mucho better chat options), interface easier to see on a computer or television screen (and likely much more customizable), just no. Idea not really worth considering imo.

Yeah, it'd make much more sense if it was just for crafting or managing the AH/bazaar and things like that. But raiding, partying, and the like? Just... no. Fail idea. lol
