Does anyone know if Yoshida has mentioned about stopping the Project ARR for the New Year break?

even if they do, why you ask? you gonna go there and have a drink with YoshiP? if it is, im super-jelly.
They deserve to rest from time to time, we don't want a dev team that starts dying from overwork.
I think if that was gonna happen it would have by now
I hope they do get time off for new year though, they deserve to let their hear down. I'm sure it won't be that long, admittedly I don't know much about public holidays in Japan, but I imagine they will get New Years Eve and New Years Day off.
New Years is kinda a big deal in Japan and is way different then New Years in western culture.
Considering the fits some people threw this past January over the focus on New Year's in the letter from the producer, I am not surprised to see a thread like this. Yes, New Year's is a big deal to the Japanese.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
New years is a bigger deal for them, but they don't really have a long christmas break. I don't even think most get christmas off. They do have the current emperors Birthday on like dec 23rd or 24th or something but their break isn't as long.
They don't get Christmas off because Japan isn't a christian country so they don't celebrate it.
