Really?! the guy with the "Back Paddling" (his spelling not mine) thread gets 100 responses and I get 5? Not creating threads for responses, just pointing out that this topic seems way more interesting than half the crap people choose to respond too. There is no accounting for what some people find interesting I guess. I must be getting old.....

You should have titled your thread:

"Why SE will FAIL if they don't make a 2nd Class"

People would flood your thread to argue endlessly over it.




Back on topic.

As others have said here, SE has always released at least 2 jobs in FFXI at a time to avoid a glut of one sort out in the world. Even though we will have an influx of new players, the volume of current players all leveling Arcanist will be overwhelming, so I think a new class would be prudent.

Then again, since leveling is mostly achieved via quests, and Arcanist looks like a solid solo-er, they might be purposely ignoring class-balancing EXP parties.
