Honestly, if the speed of the auto attacks was similar to FFXII, I wouldnt have a problem. Of course the rest of the stuff, might be an issue.

A gambit was a systematic set of conditions on which to perform certain actions automatically.
"ATTACK WHEN THERE'S A MONSTER,"
"HEAL AT HALF HEALTH,"
"USE MP RESTORE AT 30%" etc, etc.
That's exactly how bots are programed - have you seen a cavebot in full swing? It's just an unofficial "Gambit System." And then they're banned.

I know what gambit is... I didn't know what you meant with what you said. But know I doA gambit was a systematic set of conditions on which to perform certain actions automatically.

Gambit system would be great to control path companions![]()
I think Gambits would be terrible for this game as the battle system is now would make it basically auto battle. However, targetting lines don't sound bad if it is optional. It's hard to say what will happen with the battle system to XIV after the overhaul they seem to be working on. (Since auto-attack will seem necessary for their changes they have in mind, I can only imagine how we could apply aspects of XII to XIV's system then.)
I'm in before target lines only..
But I wouldn't like to see them always active.. imagine a full party with target lines, attacking different monsters.. oh the mess..
If they were implemented I think we should have a button to activate them for a short duration just to show the other party members which target to attack..
Oh and it's "kai-neh", not "kain".. and it is feminine.. u.u
My personal opinion: I think the idea of targeting lines all over the place would look terrible.
Some players are already unhappy with the aggro icon (and mob level indication that SE are planning to introduce) on screen as it takes a lot of the feel away from the game.
FFXII was actually the only one I never finished- I didn't like the game and especially did not like the targeting lines.
That being said as a compromise (and if people really want them introduced), then a red target line from the mob/s to the player with hate would be ok if it could be toggled on or off. I don't see that there is need for a "blue" ally target line showing which mob is being attacked; that really would be brain melt with a big alliance.
They can put just our Targeting lines. My personal opinion: I think the idea of targeting lines all over the place would look terrible.

I think that is a good idea.
GO FF12 BATTLE SYSTEM
12s battle system with one player and no gambits would be really boring.
