    You may be on to something with this idea. Final Fantasy XII did have a very unique battle system and it almost felt like you were playing an MMO. With a few tweaks and maybe some new user interface adjustments, id think it be a refreshing new idea for an MMO. Although i could do without the lines flying out of my character towards the mob im fighting lol.

    I agree, with a little refresh it could be perfect for FFXIV (maybe one of the refresh is the battle speed, it could be increased a little...)

    By the way... I don't understand why people keep saying FFXII's battle system is boring... Did you enjoyed FFXI??? Because its battle system is more boring than FFXII's.

    Consider this Square Enix... Pleaaaaassseeee

    I always thought that Final Fantasy XII system would work better overall, as it looks more of an MMO then a single player game and would ease complications in targeting.

    I totally agree. FFXII's battle system would be great for FFXIV, its simple and easy to use. Maybe Square Enix should consider implementing that system in FFXIV

    "pratically"? you could level up afking. It's the first and only (legal) botting RPG I remember.
    Anyway something can be implemented, while a complete gambit system is way too much.

    The battle system is great for FFXIV, although I don't think gambit system would contribute with anything, unless Square Enix decides that you can always play with your path companion in your party (that could be good for some missions).

    I'm getting sick of the current targeting system, I, most of the time, end up dead when battling multiple enemies or let my party members die (can target them with cure). A target window is definitly welcome

    I actually like this idea. Targeting lines would be a nice feature, but battle/target windows are a must! It would make targeting so much easier! And the traditional battle menu is present, that would make choosing spells/items nostalgic and like old times. And give us a reason to have potions in the game xD

    But no gambit system. Battles would become more automated than in FFXI, and that would be a problem. I want to actually play out my battles (aside from auto-attack, I still want that at least).
