wow.
compared to FFXI, this UI is a freaking Techno Rave.
i hope i can turn most of this stuff off when i'm not fighting.
still looks fun tho.

I don't think this is a bad thing, XI's UI is an abomination. I think XIV's UI looks great but I couldn't help LOL'ing at the clicking. You know every PC user is going to be mashing the number buttons instead.

The UI looks like FF7, FF8, FF12... FF13... it looks just so final fantasy?
I Like it ... its definatley Final Fantasy now!! neon blue was always part of the UI within the series...
i like that video, hopefully we'll see some videos of public events, Dungeon instances (with quests), and guild leves of course..
because questing WILL NOT be the only thing. so standard questing is good enough... when you have more to do than just questing. you know.
i think thats going to be gridanian combat music, so you will have combat music fitting each area where you are fighting... and i fuckin liked it.

Soken's horribly boring music continues to be horribly boring.

I enjoyed most of Soken's work in the 1.0 boss fights/job quests. Unfortunately I can't say the same for most of the alpha music I've been hearing. I like the Grid town theme but other than that all the music sounds so... bland? I feel like it doesn't really fit the mood/setting.

Your opinion is yours of course, albeit delusional.

Hmm I Like how this is developing, it all depends on how the quest progression is made all in all, you start killing 6 boars and end up nuking bahamut, sounds good to me.
Also the graphical improvements are FREAKING AWESOME, can't wait to spend 8+hrs a day playing this game! Oh and love the FFXII feeling they are bringing into, it really fits!
Edit: Oh and we got confirmation that certain skills have their own CD's, so at high level the combat mechanics will be complex! yay!
Yep, I love the part where slugs came out of the tree, I wasn't expecting that. I thought it was going to be Fix up the trees then return to me.Hmm I Like how this is developing, it all depends on how the quest progression is made all in all, you start killing 6 boars and end up nuking bahamut, sounds good to me.

It was a long trip + killing mobs. I say this almost ranks as a mission :P.
I'm very happy with how they are handling the quests/missions.
Having a Marker telling this is the spot you have to kill stuff for a quest, is not for babies. I rather not go back to the FFXI days where you barely have any clues on what to do on quests and eventually I give up on some of them.
Keep the markers, keeps people like me from going insane because I don't know where the quests will take me next.
Ummm... look at that animation again... *sees person twists and turns his hands as he's about to cast his spell* :P
