as long as windows can properly interface & identify the device, the dxinput driver should work unless the device is malfunctioning. with Dxinput you have to map the buttons yourself, which i find better when you want to do combination mapping. the default SE mapping for X360 device doesn't allow LT+X to go into active mode for instance.Anyone tried MLG Pro Circuit Controller??

My question on the subject would be: If I want to play with a controller, will I be forced to play with the PS3 UI or if I can choose to play with a controller on the Keyboard/Mouse UI (like we did in 2.0)???
Why? Because, from what I read, the PS3 UI will not offer a great deal of customization (fixed UI) and since I like to re-organize my UI to my liking, the PS3 UI doesn't really appeal to me.

http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...l=1#post855466For the PS3 version can you relocate the UI position or size?
M: It is possible to change the display position. We are currently making adjustments to see how much we can do for the size but we are thinking to make this possible as well.
How will you change it?
M: There is a special mode called HUD layout mode, from there you can change each individual menu size or position.

Yes, fix the controller reconnection and it's all good. That's why I had to use the DS3 to keep it connected until its battery runs out.

the old client was so paranoid it locked itself away in its own executable, once the game was running nothing could be added or changed as the game itself assumed nothing would.
they sure did go out of there way to make The PC client as Console like as possible, unfair PC advantage perhaps.
