When does the Alpha Test end?

This time, i don't think they afford the Tanaka time line of tomorrow meaning 6 weeks down the road. SE and Yoshi are backs against the wall at current. So I am thinking that they will stick to the time frame set in order to get done what's needed to get done...

Don't know about that, i hope SE does not fall victim to fan service and keeps looking at the big picture.. SE should not run alpha longer then they need it to run. Simple as that!

Alpha been done on the last week of JP testing before the NA/EU join. Right now it just to stop the bitching that come from the NA/EU side they going to keep the alpha to end of the month and invite more players to stop people from crying.

Square-Enix said they have enough information to roll into beta, but that doesn't mean phase 3 and 4 are just there to "stop people from crying."

Fun fact: There are Japanese players who didn't get into the Alpha test too.

It hasn't ended already. The current test is about 24/7 server testing.

A world merge test is scheduled for the soon-to-commence Phase 4, after which the Alpha Test will come to a close around mid-December. But if the demand is there, we’ll consider leaving the alpha worlds online until the end of the year. (Though we can’t really call it an alpha test anymore.)

Phase 3 and 4 are simply just stress tests to see how the servers handle people from outside of Japan. Nowhere in that implies they set them up for the sake of shutting us up.

The Alpha Test went global in phase 3, with the servers being online 24 hours a day for the purpose of age testing. Ahead of this phase, alpha tester acceptance mails were sent to regions outside of Japan.

They squashed a lot of bugs in Phase 1 and 2. Phase 3 and 4 is all about 24/7 Server testing to see how many people they can get in one server, without crashing within around the clock timeframe.
