When does the Alpha Test end?

I've been looking over a few pages of forum threads and I haven't seen anyone talking about the end of the Alpha test. I know the Beta test won't start until the end of january (seen this in an article or a thread) but I doubt that the Alpha will end when the Beta starts.

Question is simple: When will the Alpha test end?

Since Alpha is over now, does that mean that they're going to start Beta sooner than originally projected? One would hope! =]

Were on Phase 3 right now (almost at Phase 4)

They said there was 4 phase before the whiners started to whine :P. I still believe Alpha is still running.

A world merge test is scheduled for the soon-to-commence Phase 4, after which the Alpha Test will come to a close around mid-December. But if the demand is there, we’ll consider leaving the alpha worlds online until the end of the year. (Though we can’t really call it an alpha test anymore.)

And If I get this correct When they say if there's demand for Alpha to be up after Alpha testing is done... does that mean anyone who hasn't tried it yet can see what Alpha is like? meh

It's probably just like the demand to keep playing 1.0 after the story officially ended. If they let people in after the test phase is complete, (aka they stop taking bug reports) it'll be just to check things out.

Alpha been done on the last week of JP testing before the NA/EU join. Right now it just to stop the bitching that come from the NA/EU side they going to keep the alpha to end of the month and invite more players to stop people from crying.

It hasn't ended already. The current test is about 24/7 server testing.

Where did either of you get this idea? Did you even read the latest Letter from the Producer? There's four phases of the alpha. They're about to start phase 4 any time now.
