

I recommend you check Game limitations again, last patch it appears they removed the GPU restrictions I was getting 88.5 FPS in Black Shroud, as soon as 1 person loads on screen I drop 20 FPS.There is a relation in the fact that a game limited to 60fps will not tax the system once that cap is reached, but getting that on medium-high settings usually takes 3-4 CPU/GPU generations.
My point is, games can't load your GPU beyond 100%, and an optimized game that loads it at 100% will heat it as much as an unoptimized one at 100% too. Your hardware should be able to stay on safe temps at 100% load from both CPU and GPU.
Also as far as I know this game doesn't do PhysX or any other flavor of accelerated physics, which is sad because the crappy physics engine we have (knees go through my hauby) is running on the CPU.
But again, I agree with you that they need to optimize the engine lots and lots, for performance reasons.
