    They stopped console updates because what would be the point of releasing a game where the whole disc is useless? most PS3 users have a 60GB HDD, so it's just bad business to release a game where more than half the content on the disc needs to be replaced. and yes... it does run on the PS3, google "Crystal Tools" see what it reads, porting console to PC is almost as easy as pushing a button using the Crystal Tools, that's the whole reason it's so unoptimized for the PC.

    Not going to sit here and argue with you when 349 posts in this topic say otherwise, so please provide proof this game ever worked on PS3 and that the reason we are having so many issues is due to a bad port. Pictures or articles from SE would be nice, as I have not seen any. As far as we all know development was done side by side and SE just has no clue how to optimize for proper PC hardware usage. The data also suggests that the current client uses to much RAM and that is why it does not run on the PS3, other than that we know nothing more about PS3 functionality, especially when most 60GB users already replaced there current HDD for something bigger.

    Hmm, sounds a bit like the "fix" for UI lag shortly after release. Forgive me if I don't hold my breath over this, one of the most vague of all statements. Only way it could be less specific is if you just said "there are plans to make it better".

    Why can't details like that be shared, out of curiosity? It's not an upcoming game feature, it's not a storyline spoiler, it's just an update to the game engine. Why the veil of secrecy over something we won't have the source code for in the first place? If they're just trying to keep it a surprise, don't worry, the only real surprise will come when the game runs smoothly for once and can open/navigate UI menus without a half second delay.

    The game was working back in 2010, the only problem was that the game is so resource heavy that the 256MB RAM and 256MB VRAM on the PS3 couldn't hold all of the info needed to keep it running smoothly. Texture quality needs to be compressed down and it will only run at 720p, if not lower.

    Are you joking? The game was working on PS3 for a looong time.. You know when a company develops a game for a console... well that game is playable on that console for months before it's release.. if not years... Or did you think they make the game on PC and it's only 2 days before release that the game will actually be ported and then it will run on a PS3?

    Going to bump this agian as i saw nothing in the last letter indication they were working on optimizing the client to work better on our PC's in latest letter from producer

    there currently is an inertly separate team working on it (while the work on the ps2 conversion) Many devs have already said that that team prefers to stay on the DL till they have big news

    Could care less that the team prefers to stay on the DL, what the team needs to do is advise us of how they plan to fix PC performance so it no longer kills our machines. How hard is it for them to come out and say we intend to fix this by doing x,y,z I am not looking for any type of dates just a concrete update so I know what to expect. This topic has been up for 60 days with only 2 very insignificant were working on it comments. That is unacceptable to me as a consumer when my cash is very limited and i am looking for a viable source to spend it on in the future.

    I think part of the problem is the draw distance is set at max with no way to change. It only lets you decrease the "Background Quality," not the quantity of objects distance rendered in the distance.
