I agree that FFXIV overtaxes the computer.

Bumping Topic fell to 5th page...
No, he's right in bumping this. It's a serious issue that the devs need to take into more serious consideration.[Removed by Moderator according to the FINAL FANTASY XIV FORUM Guidelines.]

I disagree, if your software is causing computer strain, thus causing shorter lifespans on hardware, I believe this should be on the front page full time. I doubt you're gonna replace any burnt out hardware over this, correct? Well, I think it's our right to promote this topic as frequently as possible until the problem is addressed.Hello Everyone!

Well this topic is over 2 months old provide us with an acceptable update and the bump posts will stop. The Previous poster is correct, your software is causing problems with our PC's it was admitted by a MOD in a previous post. You can go about this 1 of 2 ways either Ban me because I will not cease, keep in mind you would also be losing a customer; Or the 2nd option would be to have a developer get back to us with a full on out update as to what is being done to resolve the strain on our systems by the utterly poor programming that was done with this game.Hello Everyone!

I agree. This topic should continue until we are provided with at least an ETA or some details as per what is done to fix this issue. This is a very important topic and should not take too much effort from the dev team to provide us with some information regarding the subject matter and by that i don't mean "we will look into it someday"I disagree, if your software is causing computer strain, thus causing shorter lifespans on hardware, I believe this should be on the front page full time. So far in this game I have experience severe memory leakage. Means that things are not getting deleted after they have been used in memory.

I agree with this topic being bumped. It is not being bumped purely for S &G's so I do not classify it as SPAM. The easiest way to get this topic to stop being bumped is to make it a Sticky where replies are allowed to allow posters to supply more information.
If everyone wishes some more traction on this issue, it may be easier for the Development Team to answer specific questions or comment on specific recommendations offered by us.
Q: What FFXIV game features utilize CPU processing power?
Q: What FFXIV game features utilize GPU processing power?
If the Development Team could answer those two specific questions, it would go along way to helping the player community understand and help themselves, as well as instill confidence in the community that the Development Team knows what is going on.
But I suspect there may be some secrecy on the part of the Development Team due to the possibility that there may currently be very exploitable code present in the game, and they would like to take care of it prior to commenting on it. I have no evidence of this. It is just a suspicion on my part.
I agree that the topic should stay in current discussion.
If you gotta bump, you need to at least disguise it through information so it won't be violating forum guidelines.
So, I agree that FFXIV is very hardware intensive. I had to put a $200 graphic card in my computer just to hit an acceptable score on the benchmark (MSI GeForce GTX 460 Cyclone 768MB).
And Windows 7 64bit, and 8MB of RAM and a new power supply...
