[DEV question] Why cant we change Alpha application answers?

    Hello.
I'm just asking that, because i entirely bough a new PC to be able to run ARR and hopefully enter Alpha to test it out, as i already mentioned last week.
Since i had a really shizzy pc, and since i didnt lie on that current pc specifications (wish i did lie, but we learn with our mistakes...) and the alpha testers are elected also taking into consideration their computer specs, shouldnt we be able to change the current PC specs of our Alpha application anytime? Because i doubt i'll enter the Alpha with the old PC Specs (Core 2 Duo 2.2ghz, 3gb RAM, Windows 7 64b, NVIDIA GeForce 8400m GS (128 dedicated +896 shared, but i did play current XIV version on that pc, but doubtful will even be taken into consideration for an alpha invite with those machine specs that i entered on the alpha application.), so i was thinking and asking if there is or will be any way to change our Alpha application updated, because since September 2012, i'm sure alot of ppl updated computer hardware in order to play ARR smoothy or ppl that had rly old PC's (such as me) bough new pc's or hardware to improove and 'maybe' play the alpha.
Also, i'm not raging or butthurt, because i'm having alot of fun playing another mmo at the moment with some friends, but whould rly like to see and test ARR on this machine but also on my old laptop to see if it'd run good. This post is mostly for those who changed their pc's hardware to maybe be able to update it on the alpha application so they can get a better chance at an invitation, because ppl that applyed like me, totally wont be in alpha and doubtfully in the beta beginnings because they dont meet the requirements hardware~wise...
    That's all for now.
Thanks for reading. Please (someone of the DEV team) reply if possible!

I really dont think that matters. Seriously who stops people from lying the first time?

I agree you should be able to change your app. and add more information to it honestly. Their computer stat checker should run on multiple computers XD - I've got 4.

It makes sense not to be allowed to change your app.

Not sure in which point it makes sense to not be able to change your computer specifications on the Alpha Application... ppl keep changing hardware and should be able to update it there since they do pick the ppl for alpha also by considering ppl's Computer Specifications...

If you change your specs overtime you shouldn't be able to change your application because if that's the case there would be a guaranteed invite criteria and everyone would just do that, even if they don't have the specs.

It doesn't help or hurt your chances, SE just picks at random from a certain pool they want tested.

You can intercept the data sent from program to the web browser I guess but most people wont know how to 'fake' system specs. And its important you can update your specs because perhaps SE wanted your old specs but you dont have them anymore because they are silly and dont let you update.

For some reason people are thinking that the winning combination is known. It is not known. There is no "rigging" of your answers, specially if most of it is hardware and IP related RNG.

Your web browser is not going to have any important OS level and hardware level details. That's why they have to ask on the applications.

Answer: Because if you later decide that different answers would have been more favorable, it's not fair to other people who answered the questions honestly?
