But you're missing the point. Take NM's for example, if you killed Faf and got Ridil and LS had a feeling people could be douches they could remove them from pt without loss, or force them to pass or they get kick, then people who want roll and no one steals.

In XIV's current system, ridil drops, you want but it goes into my loot pool, and I /wave and leave Absolute nothing you can do about it, nothing-at-all. Just suck it up. Hence I just stole it, because it probably wasnt for me, i probably wouldnt have class for it, and I probably dont have <ls item meet requirement here> for it. etcetc. To be more specific I've seen people take U-Skins and Dodore wings and refused to give to leader to make the item, they just take it, make the items themselfs (or with a friend) n keep the gils.

If you're with a pug and you don't trust them with rare drops, then you switch to master loot. It's that simple.
