I'm with you on that. When I was creating my first character on release, I was like..."So Highlanders are just really bulky Hyurs....Miquote's are Hyur females with fur, markings and tails.....lalafell's are just hyur kids with dirt on their noses". Fascinating!

I mean, I get why they're all so humanoid - makes it easier to design armor that works for them all, but something a little different would be nice.

Draconic race maybe Gria? But I feel Kan-e-Senna and the others are already a Draconic race, or similar.

Another cool one would be Burmecian? There are plenty of races in FF

I love the idea of the gria race or some kind of equivalent demon-human race.
I also like the idea of burmecians as I'm a diehard dragoon fan, so anyone who has played FF9 knows.

Here's my problem with adding new races though. Because they're not available until later on, and because the race you choose is set in stone, I won't be able to change my race should another one come out. Yes I could just make another character, but I've never liked doing that. I'd rather put all my time in to one char than to split it between different chars.

My only problem with Burmecian (a race i do think is sweet!) is they look a lot like the Qiqrn
And Gria still look too humanoid for my taste.

new races were probably something they should of thought of at launch. i don't know why they went with the same races as ffxi had ..though i love lala's in game. and ronzo's i think was my fav in any final fantasy so i would like it. but i think at this point it's a waist of resources adding more in. but it would be a cool addition. if it was added i'd probably switch to it. unless it is a 20dollar dlc and then i will get pissed.

I'm not a fan of DLC for $ eaither, that's why I pay the monthly sub.
I understand the expansion pack bit costing a little extra money when one comes out, but I'm not ok with single items or small pieces of content costing me money.
I was really bothered when FFXI came out with the "mini-expansions" and charged me $10 for each one. Especially Abyssea since that has now become a large focus in the game.
$20 DLC for one race? no thanks
