Final Fantasy XIV Skyrim mod

I've been playing alot of Skyrim in XIV's downtime, and I just discovered the Steam workshop a few days ago. I was wondering how hard it would be to create a Final Fantasy mod? Maybe the Sixth Astral Era story could be modded into Skyrim.

Mod the spells to Final Fantasy spells, add relics and stuff. Would that be too big of a project? Would SE care? Would it be easier to take ideas from another Final Fantasy?

If anyone here is a really good Skyrim modder, maybe we can collaborate. Granted, I never modded anything before lol.

The spells wouldn't be too difficult - the weapons would require someone who can model and it would take them a good amount of time to hand 're-make' each of the important weapons. You could always port the data files but you would need SE permission for that - something I doubt they would do. You can find a terra armor/weapon ported pack, but the Terra company actually gave the mod author permission to rip the data files.

Small mods are very feasible. Total conversions require a team and many months of dedication if not years.

So a complete overhaul wouldn't really be worth it? I mean, it was an idea while we wait for ARR.

The team I'm not overly worried about. Grab some people from here who have experience modding. Give each person a task like magic, weapons, quests, etc. If the interest is high enough, I'm sure people would do it. At least it gives them something to do rather than troll the forums all day.

A total conversion would take a long time- that doesnt mean it wont be worth it :P

Smaller ideas would be more feasible though. A frequent problem with total conversions is that they are way too big for the dedication and scale of the team and so they are never actually finished - just in a permanent state of alpha.

lol, But it would be true :P. Hope SE looks at like GW2 grass and or other more technologically advance/recent games. Sure 2.0 grass is way better then 1.0 but its still pretty behind its time. GW2 grass isnt crazy its just an mmorpg with decent grass.

If you've never modded TES or anything before, recreating just the weapon, armor, and unit models is going to take you longer than it would for ARR to be released.

those skyrim mods for ff companions and for the tera ones are amazing! I wouldn't mind my Skyrim girl running around in my skimpy Castanic heavy armor!
