Aye, is norm for some people to not like it.
Do you even read? Lol
Prepare to be dissapointed then whenever you get in alpha/beta. AAR is at its core an HD WoW clone with a Final Fantasy skin painted over it. If you don't like WoW's quest chain leveling, faster paced combat, jumping, dungeon finder you probably won't like ARR.
It's not a secret Yoshi and his team did get some inspiration from WoW.
Fine with me.Prepare to be dissapointed then whenever you get in alpha/beta. AAR is at its core an HD WoW clone with a Final Fantasy skin painted over it. If you don't like WoW's quest chain leveling, faster paced combat, jumping, dungeon finder you probably won't like ARR.

Though inspiration != clone. And WoW's ideas != Only / all originating from WoW.. Not saying you meant that but.. it seems to be a common misconception, didnt want it to be included in my post lol.
Why people don't understand that its not the play style ..but the graphic of WOW that totaly sucks big timePrepare to be dissapointed then whenever you get in alpha/beta. a 5 years old could make better drawing then WOW developpers
Please draw something better than this then get back to me.
You can say you don't like WoW's art style if you like, but you can't say a five year old could do better. They have some of the best artist in the gaming industry doing their artwork and designs.

I'm sure she don't mean artwork style, but ingame graphic style.
Can you post a picture of this guy in ingame graphic?
He's suggesting developers working on an MMORPG, actually play the largest, best-selling game in the genre. It's not really a far-fetched idea. There's a ton of developers out there who don't actually play games in the market/genre they are creating for. This leads to bad design, and repetition of mistakes that others have already made and solved.
I'd be scared if a majority of the developers (at least the design team) had not played World of Warcraft. What the hell are you doing working on an MMORPG if you haven't at least academically played the genre's most iconic title?
Oh right, they didn't and look what happened. All art and design draws inspiration from other art and design. There are plenty of good things about World of Warcraft, and there are also plenty that may not resonate with the Final Fantasy audience. There's also plenty of room for original ideas.
I've watched hours of alpha and It doesn't just give a feeling of a game inspired by WoW but it seems very heavily similar to it in many ways. You'll have to hope (I hope) that it's good enough in its own way and not just a copy in too many ways. And maybe it does some of the same things better? We'll see. Housing and the Gold Saucer + trading card game is already something I'm so excited about. If the game manages to do important things differently that may be enough for me to permanently play it. I'm tired of WoW, I don't want the same thing. I played it for 5 years and I'm just tired of it. I can't imagine too many people quitting wow and wanting an experience exactly similar to it, because those people are bored of that. We'll see what happens.
I still remain excited for now and no matter what I'll give 2.0 a good chance.

Me i choose game based on graphic(#1) , if there is story line , skill upgrade still , and equipe style (i don't like glowing armor or weapon take off the view of nice details on the armor or weapon and at the end you end up looking like a christmass tree.
One thing I hope never happens is having way too many mounts. I like that we'll get more than just chocobos this time but when you have a ton of mounts it just not cool anymore when a new comes come out. It becomes something so common that you don't care. New mounts should be like legendary items in WoW. New one once a year or something like that. They should be really hard to get, like beating a super hard raid boss that a very small number of people can do. And if the content is nerfed it shouldn't be obtainable anymore. Something like that.
