Oh yeah, it really could. It depends on if they have shaders that can work on the terrain / non intractable objects and how they are coloring/modeling the flora. Lightning makes a huge "season" feeling. Obviously I have no idea what kind of options they have readily available (which would make a massive difference in develop time).

Still beyond some more weather features, I would love to see shaders for snow/rain on character and on objects being wet like darkening the ground when raining and shiny drippy rocks. Other minor things like changing the animation type on leaves to be droopy in heavy downwards rain and such.

I really want to know if they can add a rain mask so they can make standing under cover actually stop the rain though. That always got me a little more then it should lol. "RAIN GO AWAY, YOU AREN'T ALLOWED HERE".
