I'm pretty sure this is the music for the zone, it fits in very well and on top of that I don't see any reason why they would be showcasing these videos with the incorrect music for the zone, makes little sense.

The sound starts randomly in one zone and carrys over to the next with no Transition so it was defiantly edited in. I do like it though.
There is no constraint that says you have to play a particular piece of music over a video. I'd be willing to bet that if they showed the other cities tomorrow that the music would be the same. I'm really just saying we have no reason to be sure, although we might and I've just missed it.
(And honestly I'm not really impressed by this particular piece of music.)

In one of the live letter thingies, I seem to recall them stating that the original music of the Black Shroud is still there but broken into several pieces and scattered throughout the entirety of the area. Did I misunderstand them? There is no constraint that says you have to play a particular piece of music over a video. There may not be such a constraint, but it makes no sense for them to include music in this video that isn't from the zone's they are showcasing. There is no constraint that says you have to play a particular piece of music over a video. I would appreciate it if the devs would clarify this for us. Is the music playing on these videos the actual zone music of the zone showed?
as per you not being impressed by the music, that is purely personal taste and completely subjective. I personally find it fits the zone very well, and all the tidbits I have heard so far are composed very well.

I offered my opinion on the music as a way to help explain why I'm probably a bit biased in my premise that the music might not be music for the shroud. There may not be such a constraint, but it makes no sense for them to include music in this video that isn't from the zone's they are showcasing.

If there is one thing I'd like developers to do before the release version it would be to have the chocobo music fade out after about 5 minutes like it does in FF11. I like Magnificent Seven de Chocobo as much as anybody else, but not after 10 minutes. I'd like to hear the zone music again.

Good news. They announced that all music would fade after time. I think after 5 or 10 minutes. If there is one thing I'd like developers to do before the release version it would be to have the chocobo music fade out after about 5 minutes like it does in FF11. Actually, in general, this is the music you'll hear in these areas. However, since it is cut together as a trailer and to flow easily, some of it has been moved around a bit. But yep, what you hear is pretty close to how these areas will be! Soken and his team have worked hard to make sure the ambient sounds used also fit the areas they're in too! We hope you enjoy all of the sounds mixed together!![]()
