Perhaps... but based on the summoner concept, the avatars look like ghostly versions of the original primals- this is very corporeal, and differs a fair amount from Garuda, so it's tough to conclude that.

True! Summoner is my favorite job/class so I hope its really cool/fun/important and lives up to the hype they're giving it ^^

Holy hannah, I can't believe I didnt notice this until now... but that looks like a land bridge connecting upper La Noscea to Thanalan... or at least a great deal of water in the Strait of Merithor has turned into shallows.

And its Central Coerthas. You can see Natalan, Camp Dragonhead and Ishgard clearly.

Ahh i see with all that art that has been posted and looking at these maps you can put together the puzzle how its gonna be lol and looking at the Black Shroud alpha videos i can tell they sticking to those maps so the two places you compared earlier are not the same as the first one is on the Upper La Noscea map and the other with bigger skeleton is nowhere to be seen unless they fully changed that part...
