Indeed, Musketeer does look like it.
I was thinking of Thief (basic, you steal small things) > Pirate (advance, you steal big things.)

Pirate isn't really a FF job. Something like Class Thief > Job Ninja makes more sense. As a thief you're sneaky, use (dual wield?) daggers, hit from behind unseen (speaking of battle, of course), then you master it, you use shadows more and more to your advantage, and some old master decides to you're worth passing on the dark arts of assasination.

I thought the corsair was pretty piratey.. http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Corsair
They might bring that back :P

Indeed, you made a sense but sadly it's not possible to steal gil out of players' pocket. It's not really necessary to explain what weapons thief should use and yes it can be sneaky (see the hide action for example). Both Thief and Ninja have a high evasion skill so it's good for their dodging. Like Shougun has mentioned Corsair so it made sense for them being a pirate.Pirate isn't really a FF job. Oh don't forget, Limsa Lominsa have pirates but what make it not pirate to us?
True, in my opinion I think they look meh to me. I want it to have a blade weapon and a gun. hehe However, I like the idea of card stuff tho.I thought the corsair was pretty piratey.. http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Corsair

You see those pants and boots? I like em and it does fit Final Fantasy very well. :P
I thought I already posted some of naughty pirate girl pictures here a month ago and got someone against it. lol >.>

I think they could make a pretty fun class revolving swashbuckler (corsairy piratey) like style - should create a thread on what type of class and function it would have :P.
Or you just really want the clothes and thats it? :P I bet they could get those clothes in on the musketeer if thats all, I agree they do fit FF- SE has used those types of clothes a lot in the past, or at least pieces of those designs when they make their own. I could see it happen.

With context of Limsa I'd be pretty sad not to see a pirate like job exist lol.
Btw thanks for the pictures :P my usually response is to +1 to reduce chatter, but as with Reinheart you just gotta say something every now and then lol
Lol it would be fun indeed. That said Yoshi-P loves the old-school Final Fantasy and there are plenty of jobs he can add from old games or combine 2-3 of them in 1 like he did with Bard. FFIII alone has plenty of jobs and it had the same artists FFXIV has now i think. Examples:
Evoker
Onion Knight
Magus
Knight
Geomancer
Ranger
Thief
Scholar
Ninja
Viking
Sage
Red Mage
Devout
Dark Knight
Black Belt
About discussing in this thread ..its ok just try to add Artworkthat's what this thread is about too ^_^b
