Will Nobuo Uematsu ever compose for XIV again?

I was asked by a friend, if Nobuo will ever return to FFXIV: ARR to make soundtracks, since he's been the most FF' serie Sound creator.
I loved the current version sounds (most of them) and whould love to have the Final Fantasy Sound-feeling inside of ARR (hopefully they'll introduce the old songs inside ARR :\ )

I doubt it, since he doesn't work specifically for SE. He was commissioned to do the initial scores for XI and XIV, but all subsequent musical releases have been by in-house composers such as Naoshi Mizuta (XI) and Soken (XIV)

Ideally though, I'd love to hear new music by him.

yeah ^ is true he has his on company and all... but his relationship with SE isnt really any different from before he left... He would do more scores if SE ask...

Maybe for some particular songs 'singles' he will contribute but I doubt he will ever have such a large influence as he had originally in FFXIV.

I'd look for him in other FF releases.

Again, ideally this would be awesome. But his asking price is probably a bit high considering his popularity, and of course SE will use in-house musicians to cut down on those kinds of costs. Not that Soken or Mizuta are "second choice", but SE has to give them some kind of work too Lol. They are on SE's payroll after all.

yeah your right SE would have to use in house as they should... Hamazu Masashi is also another one of my fav score writers for SE his work on XIII was epic.... But i dont think money motivates Nobuo, he is like SE ace in the hole. they bring he out for big projects usually...

Well money isn't necessarily a bad thing. He funds his studio on his projects, and he does maintain a working relationship with SE. Right now I believe he is working on a high quality release of some orchestrated tracks to celebrate the 25th anniv of Final Fantasy.

As for XIV specifically, maybe a new track here or there, but a new full score I highly doubt it. You never know tho!

Masashi Hamauzu is a good composer too, tho I don't think he has the "chops" to score for MMO's yet. His first major release was 13, so I'd give him a few more years to perfect his style.

Ping Pong Studios. Such amazing music that man makes in there. I hope to see more tunes from him. All of his work in the current state of XIV is just breath taking. lol he would kick my ass in ping pong though.

For the record, Mizuta does do some work with XIV too.
