Can someone register old-game key in ARR?

Hmmmm that kinda sucks cause i had to buy FFXIV CE 2 times. So i have 2 codes and idk which one i have that actually worked cause one didn't work thats why i had to buy a second one. So does that mean when i put in my code ill have a 50-50 shot at getting w/e it is that the CE ppl get? XD

On the other hand, then people could just get old copies now that they're basically free (yeah, they shouldn't be sold anymore but they are) and register them instead of ARR copies...

Unless they already have an active account, they still have to purchase the game files. There's always torrenting of course but not everyone is that saavy >.>
