FFXIV 1.o Pros & Idea's from FFXI vet

Just to start off my intentions is for Dev's to read this... But if anyone else wants to debate this/add ... thats fine, like i could stop you anyway xD or would want to....

Ok that said i just got finished playing 1.0 for 7 months straight, ive play FFXI for 5 years.
first thing i noticed off the bat was the new loot allocation setup. the loot setup in 1.0 was great and here is why... the 1st LS i joined when i started playing XIV was a few vets from XI who turned out to be dynamis coin hustlers. i later found out they used the gil from the dyna hustles to manipulate the auction house, a few even bragged that they got band for it. im not going to go into high detail. but anyone aware of how loot is setup during dyna runs will know what im talking about.. Well glad to say, they didnt like the new 1.0 loot setup and they complained about it, =D i enjoyed it..

Next.... Maintance down time.....In FFXIV 1.0 unlike FFXI there wasnt any POL live chat rooms just the forums here and random other chats on 3 party info site.... what SE can do is take the servers that they was going to use to keep 1.0 up after 2.0 is released and use it as a maint down time social server with character models, but the kicker is make it more interactive as far as being able to sit around at like a table with friends or what have you... but a live chatroom alone like POL would do just fine... (ik ik SE no long deals with POL)....

f2P....... people are talking of f2P atm.... might as well f2P from 1-10 would give good game play exp... And will bring new player... Alot of companys are doing that same f2P model atm.....

I do agree the loot system in XIV is tons better than XI. 9 years of playing the damn game and never did get some of those drops that were hot back in the day ><;;

Only thing I have worth adding is the idea of a chatroom during maintenance. Since these forums are already in place, people will be reluctant to use said chatrooms. Even then, groups will gravitate towards their FB groups or ls site to discuss things during maint.

And forgive me for being nitpicky, but " 's " to indicate plural just....drives me bat shit crazy >_> your title should read IDEAS not IDEA'S. Also should be DEVS not DEV'S.

yeah i can see how that could be an issue... but i dont FB...so yeah...

im not much familar with how vent mum and TS works fully but ive been on a few times. i didnt notice a free roam room since the servers cost... but 30+ ppl talking out of turn would just be chaos.. id think xD

I just liked the come and go rooms of POL is all i guess....

well the talk was to leave 1.o servers up for ppl to play on to go back as a reminder of it, and as you might know, players dont like that idea xD... so i figured if they have resources to run what ppl dont want why not make it a maint down time server for chat/?

Past experience says...even without official forums back in the day, nobody ever used POL chat. I think I probably used it once myself >_>

I agree that mumble/vent/TS would get annoying with 30+ppl talking...I get really annoyed when its over 5 people cause my mind almost explodes from focusing on so many people Lol

People will just flock here anyway to bitch about the latest update that's "screwing them over" or some other odd thing that people like to complain about <.<

Yeah your right the only time POL was used was during maintance. that was onry time ppl used it mainly..... other than that it was just used for cybering and roleplay xD....

That's pretty crazy, but I'm glad all those gays who found themselves underage had a place to go.

Yeah ikr funny stuff, i popped in one day and there was a privite room called "well hung taru looking for mithra" i LMFAO.. but i never played around on pol while severs was up..

I was stupidly expecting a thread with some ideas. All I got was a thinly veiled rant about the squeenix merger.

Ma'am the f2P and Maint Idea alone is enough.... no where on the OP did i rant.... do you even know what a rant is... post a quote of it or stfu... your probably the type of person who would come up with a Millon dollar idea then run to the BS twitter or FB and post it.. =/
