I was thinking that maybe Ranger could have a pet/ability to tame monsters.

Gonna have to say Musketter > Fencer would be first choice. With Theif > Red Mage being second choice.

Honestly I think they should just go further with their FF tactics theme and make "jobs" back into classes that are just unlock-able so that each class can be more particularly designed (and to allow odd balls like beast master, blue mage). But I think its 5 months too late for that kind of redesign (and not completely necessary to warrant a sudden shift). Still.. it wouldn't be disappointing to hear some changes to the class/job system.

Also I think a gun class is very likely to be coming soon (they are making a hard appearance by the enemy, already have a guild for it, and Yoshi mentioned it a few times - though he also mentioned Samurai, and Ninja a lot and Red Mage a little).
