Yes we know this will essentially be a WoW "clone" in the same sense that FFXI was an EQ "clone", however unlike XI, XIV will be directly taking the base systems that WoW uses that everyone else decides to mimic.
Is there some prize we receive if we keep bringing up this discussion over and over?
Yeah, MMOs taking great things from one another is unforgivable. You should give this up, MMOs will always try to use something else and improve upon it as well as create something new, its not like there are a millions of different ways to do something with regards to MMOs. Yes the fighting is faster, yes we have bags now, but clone? No, it isn't going to be a clone.
Soooo.. Word has begun to slip out from Alpha, I am not personally in it so I don't actually know, and it seems the verdict is; WoW Clone.
Full on WoW Clone.
Not going to site links. Don't really want to get people in trouble.
Yes! Sexy dances on top of tents!
CANNOT WAIT!!!

I feel bad for SE. It is a very "Damned if you do, damned if you don't." situation going on here. If they give you FFXI with a new world and shiny graphics, people complain it is a "FFXI clone" with "Not catering to casuals".
Then again, it isn't fair to call out the community on this, because only 3% of players actively use the forums (By last results at least). I certainly don't hear complaints from people around me. A lot I know say "Just fix the game.".
Its already too late for Naoki Yoshida.
Assuming this is true.
