Think this hardware will run ARR smooth?

    Heya guys.
I just bough a new computer friday, and since i'm kinda rusty on Hardware selection, a friend told me to buy this:

    MOTHERBOARD: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
    CPU: AMD FX8120
    RAM: KINGSTON 4GB/1600MHZ
HDD: WESTERN DIGITAL 500GB SATA 3'5"
    GPU: MSI GTX650 1GB DDR5 OC

This costed around 550€ which was what i had to spend on a new computer (was saving for PS3, but i'm pretty sure this is a better choice to play ARR hopefully).

Think this will suffice to run ARR smoothy almost at best resolutions? I been asking myself because their recommended specs are kinda high and since i cant run current version fully maxed out... :/

Might not run it at max settings smoothly, but it should do fine in general.

Don't guess. Wait until it comes out and see for yourself (if you've already bought it). If you haven't already bought it, just wait.

No leeching, No PL'ing, just 100% playing the game.

Yeah you should be fine no problem lol - it depends on how inefficient or insane features SE implements but I'm pretty sure you can get at least high settings across the board.

Could nab a SSD when they are on sell that will really help with loading times. Doubt FFXIV will be using more then 2gb of ram so just make sure your background apps aren't using too much (too many chrome tabs, pr0n videos.. stuff like).

Your graphics card can play Crysis well enough. Also FFXIV ARR is going to be coded to be more efficient then 1.0 - so what you are running now on 1.0 you could just step up one quality grade and have similar frames.

Overall I feel confident that you should be running well - just don't try 2560 x 1600 :P.

    lol i wont xD
I'll just run it at 1920x1080, i cant run 1.0 on max (without ambient occlusion and Depth of field on), i normally need to put it with a smaller resolution and low Multisampling, the rest works well on max once the resolution is around 1600x900 and no multisampling.

Ambient Occlusion is bugged - it destroys everything lol. (Normally the feature doesn't do that :P, though in normal scenarios it still takes frames - just not like FFXIV's does).

I actually listened to your advice several months ago about the Ambient Occlusion setting on the FFXIV Config. I took it off and my game ran much better, but I have it active on the NVIDIA Control Panel instead, and it works much better on there. The FFXIV Config's was really bad.
