    NDA does not allow you to tell friends etc about it , you're not supposed to share any information including whether you got in.~

    Work around that by mischievously saying "I heard of someone from that area who was invited. It was not me."

    On a more serious note, I too would like to know if anyone from this part of the world received an invitation.

    Yup, FoF (a friend of a friend) is a typical way of doing it. Just say AFOF got an invite.
