I'm not sure how a friend or a person I know being dishonest or not following NDA has any effect on me.

Do the cops give you bad looks if one of your friends or acquaintances commits a crime? That's such an ass-backwards logic.

Not to mention the fact that you think SE handpicked testers rather than using an automated system is laughable at best. They don't peruse the forums to pick testers, they use a script and invite people who follow the criteria put into the script.

I know, I never said it didn't. That doesn't change the fact that some people are dishonest (or whatever you want to call them, dishonest is such a strong word) and will tell their friends/family anyway.

I'm not playing devil's advocate and saying it's totally cool to tell everyone, I'm just saying some people do it anyway.
