I'm sure they want to cater to the people who quit, to show them how much better 2.0 is, rather than us, the players they know will play for sure. And that makes sense, Yoshi said we all will be in the beta, but that may take some time and several waves of invites, depending on the needs of the tests.

inviting ppl who quit or have no genuine intrest in the game is lame doing this could have further delayed the game because most those ppl have short play time windows like otheer gamss or just dont care silly SE...

Can you tell me where you read/saw this? Just knowing this would make me feel 1,000% better today. /sadpanda

I've seen other posts (not necessarily recently) where people believe everyone will have beta access and that in Beta will be able to make and keep progress on our current characters. I honestly don't care if this can be done or not, but if they do allow this, they damn sure better not keep anyone out. Allowing progress on current characters is not much different then actually playing the game, and keeping anyone out imo would be just wrong.
